Good Day!  Glad that you could take some time to visit our website.  Our website is a means in which to share information that affect the citizens of Escondido.    It is designed to provide citizens with information such as:  Current public issues, Escondido General Plan Land Use, Quality of Life policies/issues, ballot measures and political candidates.    It provides valuable educational material, networking opportunities; as well as, useful Resources and Links.    Our website is a virtual "Toolbox" for citizens to equip themselves with helpful "tools" and useful information.  As the old saying goes:  "Knowledge is Power". 

Who are the Escondido Chamber of Citizens? 

In 1997, community and business leaders, as well as residents of Escondido formed a grassroots, non-partisan, non-profit Political Action Committee designed to represent and assist the "average resident" of Escondido.   These individuals determined our elected representatives MUST serve the best interests of the citizens and not the best interests of "special interest (groups)".  The committee was named the "Escondido Chamber of Citizens" (ECOC) and its members committed themselves to act and support residents to help assure an optimum "Quality of Life" for the citizens of Escondido. 

Through the years, Founding Members and volunteers have worked diligently "uniting the voices of the citizens".  Following this principal, ECOC members have represented the interests and acted for the benefit of the majority of Escondido residents.  Standing united - citizens and ECOC volunteers have witnessed many victories from their hard work and remarkable efforts.  Today, the ECOC commitment remains steadfast, as members work to represent and assist our friends and neighbors in Escondido.

As our community grows, it is imperative that the interests of the citizens are represented!

It is imperative that the voices of the average resident are heard at City Hall!   

The Escondido Chamber of Citizens can help assure that citizens are heard and their interests are represented.  Our members have a wealth of  information; from traffic to infrastructure to the General Plan and municipal codes.   We have "first-hand" knowledge and we would be honored to communicate our experiences and share essentials with our friends and neighbors.
